Sambal 棕




A. Dry shrimp 400g – roughly blend

B. Dry chilies – 20-30 pcs ( soak to soften & discarded some seeds)

small onion 20-30 psc

garlic – 20-30 cloves

lemon grass – 5-6 stalks

Shrimp paste – 2-3 in

C. Sugar – about 4 tbl

oil – 7-8 tbl

tamarind paste – add some water

Method :

1. Blend B until smooth. Hot oil, stir fry B for 15-20 min until oily, add sugar.

2. Add dry shrimp and continue to stir fry. Add tamarind water. Stir fry until dry.

D. Glutinous rice 1 – 1 1/2 kg. 1/3 wash & soak in the blue flower water (20-30 pcs flower, boil in 200-300ml water to extract the color) for 3-4 hours. The balance of rice, wash & soak in water (add some salt) for 3-4 hours.

Bamboo leave 40-50 pcs

Boil the dumpling for 3-4 hours. add some salt in water.
