MaMa recipe 妈妈的食谱 – Super Spicy fish 超级酸辣塘虱鱼

1kg Fish 塘虱鱼 – we normally use sea catfish
Chili paste 3 tbsp 辣椒膏
small onion – 10, slice thin 小葱
fresh ginger – 3 inc (thin strip) 姜
cooking oil – 4 tbsp 油
sugar – 1 tbsp
tamarind water – 100ml
teochew fermented beans (Taochu) – 2 tbsp

Heat up cooking oil, add genger & onion fry till brown, add chili paste, cook till oily, add sugar & Taochu. Add Fish cover & cook for about 15 min. add tamarind water. cook for another 5 min. Serve hot with team rice.

REMEMBER TO COOK MORE RICE, YOU WILL AET MORE! ENJOY!!
